Tend is a simple recurring-task app for iPhone. Here are answers to the most common questions. (This is a condensed version of the in-depth FAQ)

Common questions

How do I add a task? Tap the + button in the bottom-right corner. You can also press and hold the Tend icon on your Home Screen and choose New Task.

How do I mark a task done? Tap the circle on the left of the task (there's a brief pause so you can cancel a mistap), swipe right on it, or press and hold for the menu. Undo is always available on a completed task.

How do reminders work? Reminders are off by default. Open the ··· menu → Settings, turn on Task Reminders, and choose a time. Tend will remind you on the day each task is due, at that time. Reminders are delivered on your device only.

Do my tasks sync to my other devices or to iCloud? No. Tend stores everything on the device you created it on, and has no cloud sync. A standard iPhone backup will include the app's data as part of your device backup.

What's the difference between archiving and deleting a task? Archiving hides a task but keeps it (and its history) so you can restore it later. Deleting removes a task and its history permanently. If in doubt, archive.

I completed a task but it still shows as due — why? Completing a task is what schedules the next occurrence. If it still shows due, it probably wasn't marked complete (for example, the tap-to-complete was cancelled). Tap the circle to complete it.
